About
UK Powerswap Networks intends to start the UK's first battery swap network in garage forecourts across the UK with the innovative new battery swap dispenser, Power Swap, from Sweden's Autoenergy Group. This replaces the EV battery in just 3 minutes.
We think garage forecourts will adopt this system for the first time anywhere in the world because it is so easy to install compared to the earlier versions. The forecourts will only need to lease it, and once installed it will begin to earn its keep from the first day operating as a grid-scale battery. Once motorists do begin to arrive it could be up to 8 times more profitable than a 50kw charger and produce 10 times more footfall. It is also easy to remove should that be necessary. With power Swap garages could once again return to their traditional role as the natural home of transport 'refuelling'.
